Måsabu ... eeeh?

Måsabu (main entrance) is found at:
N 59°56.843 og E 11°13.302

For those of you who prefer the map approach: Click here

And then there is also this method:

It is naturally assumed that you already are in Oslo (or nearby)
So, from Oslo drive north on the E6, direction Trondheim
Some km north from ring 3, turn off direction Lørenskog/Strømmen/Lillestrøm
Stay on the main highway
Pass Lørenskog and pass the turn off to Strømmen
Go through a short uptowardstothelefttunnel
Then after a long downhill tunnel you are in Lillestrøm
There will now be two roundabouts
Drive straight through the first roundabout
You can now see Hotel Thon ahead of you on the right
(It is here assumed that the name has not changed again. It does this at certain intervals. Not our fault.) From here on you follow signs to Fetsund (in other words turn right at the second roundabout)
Follow the road to the next (third) roundabout and keep following the signs for Fetsund
This means: turn right in the roundabout
You are now 6 km from Fetsund (which is a relatively useless piece of trivia as you are going much further)
Drive past Fetsund (notice that we do have a trafic light there !!) and continue over the bridge over Glomma
You are now crossing the largest river in Norway! You are also passing over the best timber floating museum
(lensemuseum) in the whole municipality

Turn left immediately after the bridge, direction Sørumsand
After 2 km and several sharp uphill turns you will see a white sign with the letters ASAK
Follow the directions of that sign (or simply turn right)
After 1 km the road makes a sharp (90 degrees) left turn
So should you
Or, in other words, just follow the road (direction Sørumsand)
After another 2 km there is a new sign with ASAK and even though it points to the left,
you should do like you did last time and turn right.
You should now be on a rather pathetic forest path better suited for tractors than for cars.
(If you drove past the sand-pit on the main road (asphalt road) you have not followed the description and have to turn back)
Follow the forest path (it makes a slight turn to the right) on to the gravel road with a dead end sign
Another couple of hundred meters of gravel and the road ends with an uphill turn to the right. With some luck you should find our humble abode (Måsabu) there

Welcome

(The trip from downtown Oslo should take no more than 40-45 minutes (in normal traffic).

Additional note 1: If your view on the way to Måsabu is somewhat hindered by some white stuff,
it may just mean that you are on your way during winter. Just continue and act as this is no problem.
This attitude sometimes works.

Additional note 2: We love animals. Most of all our cat.
Our cat also loves animals, but he is for some reason not fond of dogs he does not know.
Please advice in advance if you bring your dog. And please prepare the dog psychologically for staying outside.
Måsabu follows a strict. "only resident animals indoors" policy.
